German Centres worldwide: Easy access to foreign markets

Think globally, act locally. Those who wish to become established in international markets need an experienced local partner. In particular, small and mid-sized companies require local bases in distance and difficult markets.

Everything under one roof

The German Centres — German Centres of industry and trade — offer the ideal conditions for the local involvement of German companies in foreign markets. They clearly strengthen the presence of the German economy in its most important partner nations, and through bundling German economic activities in the respective country, provide large synergy effects.

With multifunctional spaces and a comprehensive array of services, the German Centres, with the support of foreign trade instruments from the federal and state governments, create an excellent platform for successfully working the market. Especially small and medium-sized businesses profit from this offering under one roof.

Move forward together better

German Centres are meeting points for bilateral business and economic contacts, offering newcomers to the country a variety of possibilities and opportunities for exchanging experiences and working together. The German Centre concept is supported by  BayernLB (state bank of Bavaria) and the  Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (a commercial and central bank in Baden-Württemberg). The individual German Centres are locally implemented by an investor that plans the entire project, constructs it, finances it, and is responsible for operating the German Centre true to the German Centre concept. To better coordinate the individual projects with one another and exchange information, the German federal government, federal states, and economy founded a “ Coordinating Committee of German Centres of Industry and Trade” in 1995.
