Launch of Chinese Entrepreneur Seminar at the German Centre Taicang

From November 6th to 8th, 2019 the German Centre Taicang launched its new Chinese Entrepreneur Seminar which prepares Chinese enterprises to enter the German market. The three day seminar provides professional guidance and in-depth insights by German top business experts and officials with proven success records.

The 30 participating managers from Chinese enterprises located in Taicang, enjoyed presentations from top experts on Germany’s business environment including property purchase, investment locations, legal and tax challenges, marketing characteristics as well as human resource and visa topics.

“Our launch of the Chinese Entrepreneur Seminar here in Taicang for Chinese companies and entrepreneurs who are planning to expand to the German market was a great success. The high engagement and professional discussions between the experts and participating Chinese General Managers of local companies showed the enormous interest and importance of such Sino-German cooperations. We are therefore looking forward tofurther developing this seminar offer and expanding to more locations all over China“, said Matthias Mueller, Managing Director of German Centre Taicang.

The first edition of the Chinese Entrepreneur Seminar was generously supported by the Taicang Bureau of Industry and Information Technology. “President Xi promoted the ‘one-belt-one road’ initiative, which is supposed to encourage private invested Chinese companies to develop foreign markets. Under the leadership of the Suzhou municipal party committee, the Taicang city government announced its ‘support plan for privately run companies’, which encourages a new consciousness regarding business and management strategies. The Chinese entrepreneur seminar of the German Centre Taicang features Sino German cooperation and supports privately run enterprises that are targeting to expand to foreign markets. That is why we are supporting this seminar”, explained Mr. Wu Zhongliang, Chairman of Taicang Bureau of Industry and Information Technology.

Taking a practical approach, the seminar finished off with a visit to Brose Taicang, a German automotive company which has established itself as one of the top 40 companies in the industry worldwide. During the site visit the participants obtained first-hand impressions on professional German factory and operating standards.

After completing the Chinese Entrepreneur Seminar the participants are now well equipped for a successful market entry in Germany and the German Centre team is proud to have been able to play a small part in making these successes happen.
